Modify your existing HawkWatch game tracking configurations with an interactive editing interface that includes health checks.
Edit Game Settings
/edit name:[GAME NAME]Open an interactive menu to modify any aspect of your game tracking configuration.

Available Edit Options
Convert Post Method:
- Switch between Summary and Message on Update modes
- Automatic health check ensures new configuration will work
- Existing messages remain intact during conversion
Change Channel:
- Redirect notifications to a different channel
- Verifies bot has proper permissions in the new channel
- Updates both current and future notifications
Add/Edit Role Ping:
- Set up role mentions for updates
- Configure which changes trigger the ping
- Remove role pings entirely if desired
Edit Track Options:
- At least one option must remain enabled

Post Method Conversion
Understanding what happens when you convert between different post methods:
Summary ↔ Message on Update Conversion Details (click to expand)
From Summary to Message on Update:
- Existing summary will be deleted and a new message posted.
- Future updates send new messages instead of editing
- All tracking settings transfer over, unless you chose to change any during the conversion.
From Message on Update to Summary:
- New summary message is created with current game details
- Future updates edit the summary instead of sending new messages
- Previous update messages remain in the channel, unless you chose ot change any during conversion.
- Summary includes all current game information
Health Check Process:
- Verifies channel accessibility
- Confirms posting/editing permissions
- Tests role mention capabilities (if configured)
- Provides specific error messages if issues are found
💡 Remember: You can always use /settings name:GAMENAME to view your current configuration before making changes!
